We're headed home.   We got up early to get our bikes over to the dock and we noticed that just behind our hotel was a Robbins parking lot.   Hmmmm... my one claim to fame in Victoria.   But as luck would have it, the day we leave is the day of the annual Dragon Boat races.   We saw the teams out on the town the night before and so I'm sure they are ready for a day of "drag"on racing across the Inner Harbor.   We're able to get a good view of the races from the deck of the ferry.   Too bad it is only for a few minutes.   |

It's noon and we're back in Port Angeles.   Do you remember that hamburger joint that we saw at the first of our trip?   Well, we stopped there for lunch.   It's designed as a drive-up but since we're on motorcycles, drive-ups tend to be a little tricky.   Our solution is to just stand in line with the rest of the cars.   Hey, these burgers are great!   I'd stand in line for them the next time we hit Port Angeles.
The weather was lousy the rest of the way home.   I packed my camera away because it was raining just too hard and besides... you can see pictures of this route on other rides I have posted.   There is this one diner though that I always get a kick out of.   It's the Hot Rod Grill in Florence, Oregon.   I can't explain it... it just cracks me up.
It is always good to get home.   At times the rain was almost unbearable.   And yet we had the best weather at the best times.   We're tired... but give us an hour, or so, and we'll be ready to hit it again.   Do I have the greatest wife or what?   We hope you enjoyed our little adventure to Vancouver Island.   We will never forget it.   |
