We were in no big hurry to get home. We drove again through
Fort Bragg, this time stopping for pictures at the landmarks of the city. Tom was still in
"pick up" mode, as we stopped to talk with some bikers from Sacramento heading for Crater Lake.
We were tempted to join them.

Before joining Hwy 101, we stopped in Leggett to drive through the tree. We had our
picture taken by a young man from Austria. We felt like tourists right on our own back yard!
We took the extra time to enjoy the Avenue of the Giants. It was good to be home.

We decided to end the journey where we had spent so much time planning the trip--the
Eel River Brewery in Fortuna. We had logged over 3300 miles! We had lunch, laughing and recalling
the ride. We even started planning "The Ride 2." Until then, if we are fortunate, there will be
many more hours together on the road.
