Day 15 -- Spanish Fork, UT to Winnemucca, NV
June 10, 2006

Knowing we had done everything we could, and knowing we were leaving Mom in very good hands, we left today for Winnimucca. It seemed strange leaving Spanish Fork without Mom standing at the door, waving goodby, but we are happy knowing she is doing well.

Still not liking the freeway through Salt Lake City, we left the interstate and headed west on the Pony Express Trail for a bit. It took us to Grantsville, where we had breakfast. We were surprised to find a full breakfast offered at an A & W. The food was great, and the women cooking and serving were fun to tease.

Soon we were back on the very familiar road to Wendover -- long stretches of the Bonneville Salt Flats. The ride brought to mind a great little movie we had recently seen, "The World's Fastest Indian." We took some pictures of some of the scenery seen in that movie.

Again, we followed storms along the way, which left the ride many degrees cooler than we anticipated. It was a great ride, ending in Winnimucca. We ate at our favorite spot, the Flying Pig. Great BBQ!
