Coos Bay, OR to Port Angeles, WA
August 11, 2007

We knew that this day would be a hard ride.   Shirlene and I were pressed to make it to Port Angeles before the rains hit.  Although the road was beautiful, the 500 mile ride over winding roads made for a couple of tired riders by the end of the day.

The Oregon coast is one beautiful ride.  There is a special event at the end of the summer known as the "Lighthouse Run".   It is a motorcycle run from Brookings to Astoria and sounds very inviting.

After a quick lunch in Tillamook, Oregon, we rushed through Washington and landed in Port Angeles.   As luck would have it, a couple of fellow motorcycle enthusiasts told us of an intriguing burger joint.   Unfortunately, it was just after we had finished a big dinner.   We vowed to hit on our return trip.
